Crena commenced Dancing at age 7, for health reasons. Although never 100% well, it has not stopped her from following her Theatre interests, including Tap Dancing (still), Musical Comedy, Drama and TV performances. She has studied theatre at Northern Rivers College of Advanced Education, and the Darwin Institute of Technology.

She is proud to be a Grey Panther with Tracks dance and with them has performed in: Dear Auntie, FIERCE, A BOWLS CLUB WEDDING (2003 and 2006), ANGELS OF GRAVITY, ARAFURA GAMES OPENING CEREMONY (2005 and 2007) and YOU DANCE FUNNY.

Over her years in Darwin Crena has performed with such notable groups as: Cavenagh Theatre Group, Darwin Theatre Group, Territory North Theatre Group, Brown’s Mart Theatre, Darwin Choral, Isolate Theatre (Kununnura), Darwin Stubbies Golden Oldies. In 1992 Crena won Red Faces when Hey Hey came to Darwin.

She is divorced with 2 married daughters and six Grandchildren.
