Kin Leong |

Darwin born, Kin is a well-known actor and comedian with over 10 years of professional experience. In 1998 he was awarded the NT Young Australian of the Year for the Arts and has worked with artists locally, nationally and in Singapore, Norway and China. In 2003 he played the role of Pip in Darwin Theatre Company’s production of “Great Expectations”, and has performed with Knock-em-down Theatre in many of their infamous end of year reviews. In 2005 he co-wrote the re-dub of the 1959 film “Journey to the Centre of the Earth” and performed the role of the Professor in the live re-voice. |

His alter ego Gung Ho Charlie has performed at various events around Darwin and at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. A regular on our TV sets, Kin has spruiked everything from office furniture and gambling to a university. Through his company Babao Fan (Eight Treasure Rice) Kin is committed to ensuring Asian–Australians have a voice in mainstream Australian comedy and theatre. Kin’s first performance with tracks was YOU DANCE FUNNY in 2007.
