Sarah Calver

|
Sarah Calver graduated from WAAPA in
1984 and since then has had the opportunity to observe
and be part of the Territory’s vibrant and vital
dance community in her work as an administrator, professional
performer, choreographer, director, and educator, in
the areas of dance, theatre, youth, the elderly, multi-cultural,
Indigenous, large-scale performances and community events,
and in remote regions.

Over the past twenty-two years Sarah’s
work has been influenced and shaped by the people, the
places and the artists that have been part of her life
here in the Territory, the work she implemented and nurtured
showcased a range of local initiatives that highlighted
the unique and inspirational realizations within our
diverse NT Dance Community.

|
Sarah’s work history includes:
Feats Unlimited – An NT Dance In Education Company
1984-1987;
Dance Officer for Brown’s Mart Community
Arts NT 1988-1994;
physical theatre coordinator for Corrugated
Iron Youth Arts 1987-1998;
founding Director
of the Grey Panthers 1988;
co-founding Director of TRACKS
Inc 1993-1998;
Independent Dancer 1998-2005;
Jump Rope
For Heart field officer and coach 2000-2005; and
National
Trainer/Presenter for Les Mills Body Training Systems
in the Health and Fitness Industry 1999-2003.

She has vast experience as a director,
dancer, choreographer and teacher. She has choreographed
and performed in many of Tracks productions, including Sacred
Space, 4WD
- Sweat Dust and Romance and Mother
Daughter.

|
Sarah is currently the Executive Officer
for Ausdance NT, Jump Rope For Heart Field Officer with
the National Heart Foundation NT and Group Fitness Leader
with Health and Fitness On Mitchell.
|
|
|
