Tania Lieman is the Artistic Director of the Darwin Theatre Company. She is a physical theatre performer specialising in mask, puppetry and dance. Prior to taking up the position with Darwin Theatre Company, Tania worked independently and with established companies in the Northern Territory including Darwin Theatre Company and Tracks. She produced small scale touring performances with Business Unusual, where she toured Just Another Day to Alice Springs.

Tania has also worked as a community arts practitioner working in remote Northern Territory communities on Bathurst Island, Groote Eylandt, Melville Island, Nhulunbuy and Santa Theresa near Alice Springs. Tania trained in physical theatre with Phillipe Gaulier, has a BA in Performance Studies – Dance and Drama from VUT and studied Animatuering at the Victorian College of the Arts.
