Traci came to Darwin in 1993 to study law, following completion of a Bachelor in Performing Arts in Dance in Adelaide. She graduated from law school with honours and was awarded the Supreme Court Medal. Prior to admission as a solicitor she worked as an associate to the Honourable Justice David Angel. She has lived in the Northern Territory off and on since 1993 having worked as a solicitor in a diverse range of areas and places including Alice Springs, Tasmania and Queensland. She has also worked as an academic lecturing at James Cook University (Cairns) in Constitutional Law, Contract Law and Property Law. She currently works as a solicitor for the Department of Justice.

Traci also instructs part time in yoga and pilates.
