Ian Redfearn |
|
My name is Ian Redfearn, I grew up on a sheep farm in NSW ran away from home, joined the circus, which is the film and television industry, and ended up as a freelance cinematographer working mainly in north Australia. Like many top enders, I came for here a look about 20 years ago and am still thinking of putting down roots. I love to live and work here because I believe nowhere else in Australia offers the diversity of culture, landscape and uniqueness of this wonderful place. I have had a professional association with TRACKS for over a decade now and always look forward to each new production. My role is primarily to visually document each production for DVD release, a task for which can be quite challenging but one which I prize as a highlight of each working year. |

I am constantly in awe of the level of talent nurtured through the well-oiled machine, which is TRACKS, and take my hat of to those members past and present whose talent and commitment has resulted in one of Australia’s most successful performance companies. I like to think that my contribution helps in some small way but without the creative energy from within TRACKS and those who pull it all together I am but a small fish in very big pond. By the way, I have two left feet, which is why I prefer to stay behind the camera. In my next life I’ve promised myself I will learn to dance! |
