James Mangohig is an ARIA nominated producer from Darwin. Starting as a bass player for bands, he went on to become a music producer. In the mid 2000s he formed Sietta with vocalist and songwriter Caiti Baker, releasing 2 albums and 2 EPs to critical acclaim. Mangohig has worked with artists such as Daniel Johns (Silverchair), Jessica Mauboy, Gurrumul, Drapht, Briggs, 360, B2M, KLP, Manuel Dhurrkay, and Sunameke (Tep Tok). In 2016 James joined Perambulator Management as a Director and Producer. His affinity with diverse forms (culturally and stylistically) is driven by his own Filipino heritage. In 2018 James was awarded the Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship. James produced the soundtracks for Tracks’ In Your Blood, En Masse, Global Positioning and Seasons of Skin & Bark.
