Walmajarri

Dance Story

Two men go hunting and light a fire to flush out the Kanyula (Euro Wallaby). They have to call the winds to direct the fire - to work together. The Kanyula runs away to Pinta? where they kill him. The fire burnt everywhere. In Warlpiri this story presents the whole world view, the fire caused many actions to take place. Warlpiri had to learn to control the fire.
